Our league is run for the skaters, by the skaters as a 501c3 non-profit organization. The league is made up of skaters, referees and officials who volunteer their time. We are a part of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, or WFTDA, the international governing body for the sport of women’s flat track roller derby. For over 25 years, Strikers FVSC has grown substantially, now serving families from St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora, North Aurora, West Chicago, Bartlett and Elburn. Strikers FVSC represents 53 teams, from the U-8 to U-23 age levels and has established an outstanding reputation for player development on a local, regional and national level. The Club's teams have consistently performed at a very high level, playing in the best leagues, and competing in recognized regional and national tournaments.

The Chicago Steel will compete in their 22nd season in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and eighth season playing at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, IL in 2022-2023. The organization's focus is providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment. Steel players are recruited from across the country and internationally. They are assigned a host family and advisor to arrange housing and education options while with the team. Education, and development as a player/individual, are the keys to their success. Over 300 Steel players have played at the NCAA Division I level since 2000 and 49 Steel alumni have been drafted by NHL teams since 2000.
